Lucknow Super Giants will take on table-toppers Gujarat Titans in the 26th match of the ongoing IPL 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Saturday in a day-game. While GT has been in tremendous form, winning four matches on the trot after losing their opener against PBKS, LSG has managed three wins and two losses.
GT has ticked the right boxes with both bat and ball. Sai Sudharsan has performed consistently at the top of the order whereas Mohammed Siraj, Sai Kishore and Prasidh Krishna have been brilliant with the ball. They had registered a comprehensive 58-run win against RR in the last game and they would look to carry the winning impetus.
Rashid Khan also bagged two wickets in the previous match and it was a huge positive for GT as the Afghanistan spinner wasn’t at his absolute best in the first four games.
On the other hand, like GT, the top order has done the heavy lifting for LSG. Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran have hammered the opposition whereas Aiden Markram would want to convert his starts. Pooran has amassed 288 runs in five matches at an average of 72 and a blistering strike rate of 225.
Furthermore, Digvesh Singh Rathi has picked seven wickets in five games.
