IPL 2025: Lucknow Super Giants vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Match Preview

Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 61st match of IPL 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Monday. LSG are in a must-win territory whereas the Orange Army was earlier knocked out of the tournament.

SRH captain Pat Cummins and hard-hitting opener Travis Head have traveled directly to Lucknow. Cummins and Co. would look to end their season on a high as it has been a forgettable edition for them after making it to the final in IPL 2024.

SRH have collectively failed as a unit and they would look to right the wrongs before their season comes to a close.

Meanwhile, LSG have added lanky New Zealand pacer, William O’Rourke for INR 3 crores as an injury replacement for Mayank Yadav. The Indian fast bowler has been ruled out of the season with a back injury.

After a solid first half in the season, LSG have veered off the track with three back-to-back losses before IPL 2025 was suspended for a week. Nicholas Pooran has managed 60-odd runs in the last five innings whereas Rishabh Pant’s form has continued to go south. Furthermore, Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh haven’t been that consistent as they were in the opening phase of the tournament.
