Rajasthan Royals will square off against Punjab Kings in the 59th match of the ongoing IPL 2025 at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur on Sunday. This will be a day-game and both teams will have their work cut out in Jaipur heat as the temperature is expected to hover around 40 degree-celsius.
While RR were eliminated before IPL 2025 was suspended due to security reasons, a win for PBKS will all but seal their playoff berth.
Sanju Samson was seen practicing in the nets on Thursday and he might return to the team’s playing XI after missing the last few matches due to a side strain.
RR gun fast bowler Jofra Archer will not rejoin RR’s squad for their final two games of the season.
Meanwhile, PBKS have signed Kyle Jamieson for INR 2 crore as a replacement for countryman Lockie Ferguson, who was earlier ruled out of the tournament. Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Hardie and Josh Inglis have not yet confirmed their participation for the rest of the league but it has been indicated the trio will join the team. Furthermore, Mitch Owen and Xavier Bartlett, have joined the squad.
