Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Saturday. When these two teams met in the opening game of the season, RCB had registered a comprehensive seven-wicket win.
From there on, RCB has gone from strength to strength as they have won eight out of their 11 matches to put themselves in a commanding position to qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, KKR have been hot and cold as they have registered five wins, six losses and have one no-result in their 12 games so far.
KKR’s batting has failed to fire at all cylinders and they must deliver for the franchise, if they want to stay afloat in the tournament.
