Former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar lauded Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s collective effort in the ongoing IPL 2025 after their six-wicket win against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Sunday. With this win, RCB moved to the top of the points table.
Krunal Pandya bagged the Player of the Match after he scored a match-winning unbeaten knock of 73 runs off 47 balls. The southpaw smashed five fours and four sixes in the run-chase of 163.
Furthermore, Pandya returned with figures of 1-28 in his quota of four overs, accounting for experienced Faf du Plessis.
Manjrekar noted that RCB have had six different Players with Man of the Match awards in seven wins and thus different players are stepping up for them.
“RCB have finally found the winning formula. It’s not about one guy in the team. 7 wins, 6 different players’ of the match! 👏👏👏 #IPLOnJioStar,” Sanjay Manjrekar wrote on his X (Twitter) handle.
Meanwhile, Manjrekar also lauded RCB’s bowling line-up for keeping the opposition to a below par score. The cricket analyst noted that RCB have had no problem in chasing targets like 74, 175, 157 & 162 and thus the credit goes to their bowlers.
He wrote in another tweet, “4 off RCB’s 7 wins have come in chases. Targets 174, 175, 157 & 162. It’s their bowlers that have made the real difference this season! 👏👏👏”
RCB have managed seseven wins in 10 matches and have put one foot in the playoffs. Rajat Patidar’s team would look to carry the same winning impetus in the upcoming matches.
RCB will next take on Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on 9th May.
