Gujarat Titans will take on Chennai Super Kings in the 66th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Thursday. The Titans have already qualified for the playoffs but they would want to finish among the top two teams. A win against CSK will ensure that they will play Qualifier 1.
Shubman Gill’s team suffered a 29-run loss in the previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders and they would want to get back to winning ways. GT conceded 247 runs against the three-time champions and would look to come up with an improved bowling show.
CSK, on the other hand, have a slim chance of making it to the last four if they win this contest. According to Cricbuzz, if CSK win their final match against GT, they will be tied on 14 points with RR and possibly DC, should DC beat KKR. The result of this match will be rendered obsolete if either PBKS or KKR win their final matches. For an NRR pushover, CSK needs a cushion of 25 runs over RR, should both get tied on 14 points.
CSK have lost their last two matches, which has taken a huge hit on their playoff chances. The five-time champions suffered a five-wicket loss against SRH in the last game.
