CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad has confirmed that he and Sanju Samson will open the innings for the franchise and thus Ayush Mhatre, who had impressed in the previous season, will bat at one drop.

Samson has been in rich form and he would look to carry his T20 World Cup form. The Kerala batter has been a hit and miss over the years and he would look to deliver consistent performances in the upcoming season.
