South African batter David Miller reckons Jasprit Bumrah will be a threat to all batters in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Bumrah is equally dangerous at both ends of the innings and has been in sublime form in the ongoing Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians.
The gun Indian pacer has picked 20 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 16.80 in the ongoing IPL 2024. Bumrah is the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament and he also has the best economy rate of 6.48 in the competition.
However, Bumrah didn’t get enough support from the other end and thus MI became the first team to be knocked out of the tournament.
“There are so many good Indian players. But me being a batter facing the bowlers, I think Bumrah is bowling well at the moment. And he has been a world-class bowler for many years. He’s a threat to me, as well as every other batter in the World Cup,” Miller said on PTI.
Bumrah has an impeccable record in the shortest format of the game. The right-arm pacer has picked 74 wickets in 62 T20I matches at an average of 19.66 and an economy rate of 6.56. Ergo, Bumrah is going to hold the key for India in the upcoming T20I showpiece.
Mumbai Indians will play their last league stage match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Friday.
