Jitesh Sharma Backs Arshdeep Singh to Dominate International Cricket

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) new recruit, Jitesh Sharma, has showered praise on his former Punjab Kings (PBKS) teammate, Arshdeep Singh, for his unmatched work ethic and mental strength. Speaking on a podcast with Cricxtasy, Jitesh predicted that Arshdeep will establish himself as one of the most dominant bowlers in international cricket within the next three to four years.

Jitesh highlighted that Arshdeep’s dedication and approach to the game set him apart from other players.

“It’s not about any special preparation. His work ethic is unmatched. His mindset is incomparable. He always demands the best from himself. That mindset is what sets him apart. And I won’t be wrong in saying that in three to four years, he will dominate international cricket,” Jitesh remarked.

According to Jitesh, Arshdeep possesses the skills to excel in all three formats—Test cricket, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and T20s. He pointed out that he has personally witnessed Arshdeep’s success in red-ball and white-ball cricket, making him a strong candidate to shine across all formats in the near future.

“He has the skills for all three formats. I have seen him excel in red-ball cricket, white-ball cricket, and of course, T20s. He is going to dominate all formats,” Jitesh added.

Arshdeep’s recent performances back up Jitesh’s claims. The left-arm pacer was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2024, where he finished with 17 wickets in eight matches, further cementing his reputation as a rising star in Indian cricket.

Jitesh also lauded Arshdeep’s ability to remain composed, whether on or off the field. He recalled watching Arshdeep train in Chandigarh, where he always carried a relaxed attitude but switched gears completely when it came to his performance.

“He was always in the same relaxed mode. But when it comes to work, he is 100% focused. I can guarantee that. He knows how to stay dedicated while working and how to chill after that. He has mastered the balance between switching on and off,” Jitesh observed.

With a bright future ahead and strong backing from his peers, Arshdeep Singh is well on track to becoming a key figure in Indian cricket across all formats. Fans will be eagerly watching his progress as he continues to develop into one of the finest pacers in the game.
