KL Rahul set to miss England tour, to go to Germany for treatment

India’s Test vice-captain KL Rahul is set to miss the upcoming England tour as he will go to Germany for treatment. Rahul is currently on the sidelines with a right groin injury, which has troubled him in the recent past. Rahul’s groin injury has been recurring as he had also missed the series against West Indies and Sri Lanka due to the same injury.

KL Rahul was the second-highest run-getter of IPL 2022 as he amassed 616 runs in 15 matches at an average of 51.33 and a strike rate of 135.38 while leading Lucknow Super Giants.

Rahul had to also miss the ongoing series against South Africa due to the same injury. However, no replacement for announced for him.

“That is correct, the board is working on his fitness and he will be going to Germany soon,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah told Cricbuzz on Thursday.
