India’s gun fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is currently the best pacer in all three formats of the game. Bumrah was asked about the toughest batter he has bowled to in his career but the Indian ace pacer didn’t want to pick a name.
Bumrah said if he bowls at his best, he thinks there is no one in the world who could stop him. The fast bowler has performed consistently in all three formats of the game and he has been India’s pack leader. The ace pacer bagged 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 and an economy rate of 4.17 in the eight matches of the T20I showpiece and thus played a key role in the team’s success.
Bumrah said at the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai during the college’s fresher’s day event, “Look I want to give a good answer, but the real factor is that I don’t want anyone to take over me in my head. I respect everyone but, in my head, I tell myself that if I do my job well, there’s nobody in the world who can stop me”.
“So I look at myself rather than the opponent I think that I have control over everything and if I give myself the best opportunity, everything else will take care of itself rather than giving the power to the batsman that he’ll get better of me or he’s better than me,” he added.
Bumrah’s biggest strength is his adaptability to any pitch and he reads every track like an expert. The fast bowler is equally lethal at both end of the innings and he has consistently delivered for the team.
After the T20 World Cup triumph, Bumrah was rested for the tour of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. He has also not been picked for the Duleep trophy.
Bumrah will be seen in action in a two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
