Islamabad United will lock horns against Peshawar Zalmi in the 12th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League at the National Stadium, Karachi on Thursday. Peshawar Zalmi are currently in second place in the points table with two wins in three matches.
On the other hand, Islamabad United are in fourth place in the standings with one win and one loss out of the two games they have played.
Peshawar Zalmi won their previous match against Quetta Gladiators by four wickets. New Zealand’s all-rounder James Neesham was the star of the show as he scored a quickfire knock of 23-ball 37 in the run-chase 155 runs whereas he also took one wicket in his quota of four overs.
Meanwhile, Islamabad United suffered a huge loss of 52 runs in their last game against Multan Sultans. Thus, the Shadab Khan-led team will be determined to make a solid comeback to winning ways. Rassie van der Dussen had scored 49 runs but the rest of the batters will also need to contribute to the team’s total.
Both teams will look to come up with a collective effort in this crucial game.
