Multan Sultans will face Lahore Qalandars in the opening game of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan on Monday. The clash will be a repeat of the previous season’s final and both teams will look to get off to a good start.
Multan Sultans were the best team in the previous season in the league stage but they could not get over the line in the final against Lahore Qalandars. The Mohammad Rizwan-led team had topped the points table and they will be looking to replicate that kind of performance.
On the other hand, all eyes will be on Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, who will be making a comeback after the T20 World Cup final. Afridi had missed action in the last few months due to a knee injury and he will be looking to hit the straps for his franchise.
The Qalandars have match-winners like Harry Brook, Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf, and Fakhar Zaman and they are going to hold the key to the team’s success.
Meanwhile, David Miller, Rilee Rossouw, Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan, Tim David, and Adil Rashid will be the crucial players for Multan Sultans.
Match Prediction: Multan Sultans might enter the contest as favorites against Lahore Qalandars as they have a better balance in their team.
