Quetta Gladiators will lock horns against Islamabad United in the 13th game of the ongoing Pakistan Super League at the National Stadium, Karachi on Friday. The Gladiators haven’t got off to a promising start as they have won a solitary match out of the four they have played.
Thus, the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led team will look to make a resounding comeback. QTG lost their previous match against Lahore Qalandars after their batting unit could only manage 135 runs while chasing a par total of 199. Ergo, they need to come up with a better batting show in the upcoming matches.
Ahmed highlighted that they need to good start from their openers as they haven’t been able to make the most of the Powerplay overs.
On the other hand, Islamabad United are in fourth place in the standings with one win and one loss out of the two games they have played (not considering their match against Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday).
Islamabad United had lost their previous match against Multan Sultans by 52 runs. Thus, the Shadab Khan-led team will be determined to make a solid comeback. Rassie van der Dussen had top-scored with 49 runs but the rest of the batters had failed to contribute.
Match Prediction: Islamabad United will enter the contest as the favorite against Quetta Gladiators.
