Royal Challengers Bengaluru will begin their IPL 2025 campaign against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Saturday. After 17 seasons, RCB is still hunting for their maiden title and they will want to end their trophy hoodoo in the 18th edition.

Rajat Patidar has been given the captaincy onus by the management and it would be interesting to note how he would marshall his troops on the big stage as he doesn’t have the experience of leading any IPL team. 

Bowling has been RCB’s kryptonite over the years however they have the services of bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Josh Hazlewood for this season
