India will square off against Sri Lanka in the third ODI at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Wednesday. India has come up with a disappointing performance with the bat as their middle order has failed to deliver in spin-friendly conditions.
The ODI World Cup runners-up could not chase down 241 runs in the second game after the opening game ended in a tie with both teams scoring 230. Rohit Sharma has been the standout batter for the visitors but he hasn’t got any support from the other end.
On the other hand, Jeffrey Vandersay was right on the money, accounting for India’s top six batters and returning with impressive figures of 6-33 in his quota of 10 overs in the second ODI.
