After facing a disappointing loss against South Africa at Perth, India will look to return to winning ways against Bangladesh in the Super 12 contest of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 at Adelaide Oval on Wednesday. India could not come up with a good batting performance against the Proteas and they will be determined to come up with a better show against the Tigers.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, was able to get over the line against Zimbabwe by the skin of its teeth in their previous. Shanto had played a crucial knock of 71 runs for the Shakib-Al-Hasan-led team while Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed had done a fine job for the team with the ball as they picked two and three wickets respectively.
Meanwhile, India’s top order had floundered against South Africa as they found themselves in all kinds of trouble at 49-5. It was Suryakumar Yadav, who scored a blistering knock of 68 runs off just 40 balls to help his team post a fighting score of 133 runs on the board.
However, India’s fielding was a major disappointment for the team. Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma missed easy run-out opportunities while Virat Kohli had dropped a sitter to give reprieve to Aiden Markram.
Thus, Men in Blue will be looking to come up with a collective show. Indian fast bowlers were right on the money against South Africa but they would want the batters to come to the party.
Match Prediction: India will enter the contest as favorites against Bangladesh but the Tigers have the ability to spring a surprise.
