Pakistan will take on England in the final of the T20 World Cup at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. The Men in Green had earned a backdoor entry into the semi-final but they have certainly peaked at the right time in the ongoing T20I showpiece.
England, on the other hand, has made a rollicking come back after losing their Super 12 match against Ireland. Both of these teams were at their absolute best in their respective semi-final matches and they would want to replicate the same in the all-important final.
Alex Hales and Jos Buttler were magnificent against India on Thursday as they tormented the opposition bowlers with their sheer hitting. Furthermore, the England bowlers were right on the money and did a fine job to restrict India.
Meanwhile, Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were able to get back into form against New Zealand, which is a big positive for the team. Moreover, Pakistan’s bowling has been brilliant in the last few matches as Shaheen Shah Afridi has returned back to form.
Both of these teams have played at their best and it will all come down to – ‘who holds the nerves better on the big day.’
Match Prediction: It is expected to be a thrilling contest between these two big teams but England might enter the contest as slight favorites against Pakistan given the depth they have.
