India will lock horns against Canada in the 33rd match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida on Saturday. There was no rain on Thursday in Florida but the rain has been pouring down heavily in the city throughout the week and is expected to play killjoy on Saturday.
India has already qualified for the Super 8 after winning all of their three matches in New York. Mostly, India’s batting has been the cynosure of all eyes but there is no doubt that the team’s bowling has won all three matches so far.
While Jasprit Bumrah was brilliant in the first two matches against Ireland (2-6) and Pakistan (3-14), Arshdeep Singh bagged impressive figures of 4-9 against the USA.
Suryakumar Yadav scored a crucial fifty against the hosts in the last game and it must have added a lot of confidence to his bag. Furthermore, Shivam Dube was able to spend some time in the middle as he scored 31. But India’s top-order is a worry as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli haven’t been at their best.
On the other hand, Canada will need to beat India by a huge margin to stand a chance to make it to the next stage.
Match Prediction: India will definitely start as favorites against depleted Canada.
