South Africa will lock horns against Nepal in the 31st match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent on Friday. The Proteas have already qualified for the Super 8 stage whereas this will be a must-win contest for Nepal.
The Rainbow Nation has won all of their three matches and would want to finish the group stage on a high. South African bowlers were able to defend 113 runs in the last game against Bangladesh as they came up with a collective effort.
Keshav Maharaj bagged three wickets whereas Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada scalped two scalps apiece. Furthermore, Heinrich Klaasen scored a crucial knock of 46 runs but SA needs to come up with a better batting show before the all-important Super 8 stage.
Nepal, on the other hand, had to settle for a point against Sri Lanka as their match was washed out by rain. The Rohit Paudel-led team lost their opening game against the Netherlands and will need to play out of their skin to challenge South Africa.
Nepal has received a lot of support in the USA and will want to give its fans something to cherish.
Match Prediction: There is no doubt that South Africa will enter the contest as favorites against Nepal.
