The hosts United States will lock horns against Pakistan in the 11th match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas on Thursday. The USA had won their opening game of the tournament against Canada by seven wickets as they chased down 195 with 14 balls to spare.
Aaron Jones had played a fine knock of 94 runs off just 40 balls, with the help of 10 maximums and four fours. Furthermore, Andries Gous scored a crucial knock of 65 runs off 46 balls in the run-chase, scoring seven fours and three maximums.
Harmeet Singh was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with figures of 1-27. Thus, the home team will look to come up with a collective effort against Pakistan.
On the other hand, Pakistan will aim to begin their campaign on a high. Pakistan recently lost the four-match T20I series by 2-0 against England, with two matches ending in no results.
None of the Pakistan batters could even score a fifty against England and they will need to come up with a better batting performance in the T20I showpiece.
Pakistan has some quality bowlers in their squad as bowling has been their strength over the years.
The Dallas pitch is better for batting as compared to New York and both teams will look to deliver as a unit.
Match Prediction: Pakistan will enter the contest as favorites against USA.
