India will lock horns against England in the second semifinal of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Thursday. The Wankhede pitch is mostly a paradise for the batters but India had found themselves on the ropes at 77-6 against the USA after their batting order, barring Suryakumar Yadav, had crumbled.
At the same venue, England was given a scare by Nepal as Harry Brook’s team eventually clinched a four-run win. The Three Lions also suffered a 30-run loss against the West Indies at the same ground in the group stage.
India is not expected to make any changes to their playing XI after a comprehensive win against the West Indies. Sanju Samson was brilliant for the team and he is going to hold the key at the top of the order.
Stats Preview:
Kuldeep Yadav needs five wickets to complete 100 scalps in T20Is, and he would become the fourth Indian bowler and first spinner to get to the landmark after Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya.

Shivam Dube needs 78 runs to complete 1000 runs in T20Is
