India will take on the Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Wednesday in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026. The hosts have already qualified for the Super 8 stage and thus might make a few changes to their playing XI in this dead rubber contest. However, India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak denied that there will be any experiments in the playing XI.

The Men in Blue were brilliant in the high-octane match against arch-rivals Pakistan as they registered a comprehensive 61-run win. Ishan Kishan has been in the form of his life and has scored 158 runs in three matches of the tournament. 

Kishan took Pakistan bowlers to the cleaners and he was the major difference between the two teams. Abhishek Sharma, who has managed two ducks, would want to get amongst the runs.

Furthermore, India’s bowling is coming up with a collective effort, which are good signs ahead of the Super 8 stage.

On the other hand, the Dutch could not close out the game against Pakistan when they had a golden opportunity to get on the points table. They did win against Namibia in Delhi but they would need a massive win against India to leapfrog USA’s Net Run Rate and then they would need to hope that Namibia beats Pakistan for them to qualify for the Super 8.
