The reigning champions Chepauk Super Gillies will lock horns against Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans in the 25th match of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League 2022 at the SCF Cricket Ground, Salem on Friday.
The defending champions have won four out of their six matches and they are currently in second place in the points table.
On the other hand, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans have won three out of their six games and they are in fifth place in the standings. ITT won their last match against Madurai Panthers by a huge margin of 53 runs on Wednesday.
They had posted 129 runs on the board after Maan Bafna scored 40 runs while they came up with a brilliant bowling performance to bundle out MP at 76 runs after Aswin Crist scalped three wickets.
Meanwhile, CSG won their previous contest comprehensively by seven wickets against Salem Spartans. CSG was able to restrict the opposition at 113-6 after a brilliant bowling performance.
M Siddharth was the pick of the bowlers as he snared three wickets and conceded only 13 runs in his quota of four overs. Furthermore, they were able to chase down the score within 15 overs and boosted their NRR.
