Madurai Panthers will lock horns against Lyca Kovai Kings in the eighth match of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League at the NPR College Ground, Dindigul on Thursday.
Madurai Panthers had won their first match of the season, whereas Lyca Kovai Kings had lost their opening game of the tournament’s sixth edition.
Madurai Panthers had defeated reigning champions Chepauk Super Gillies by four wickets and they will look to continue the good show. Balchander Anirudh had scored a match-winning knock of 58 runs for MP in the run-chase of 136 runs to help his team get over the line.
On the other hand, Lyca Kovai Kings lost their opening match against Dindigul Dragons by five wickets and they will aim to bounce back stronger in their second match.
LKK had posted a par score of 188 runs against DD but their bowlers could not defend the score. Shahrukh Khan-led team will aim to come up with a better bowling show in order to get their first win of the season.
