Former Chennai Super Kings wicket-keeper bat Vansh Bedi has strongly denied match-fixing allegations in the Indian Premier League and Delhi Premier League amid recent reports. A sting operation, which was carried by Tehelka, revealed that a CSK and Purani Dilli 6 player was involved in fixing.

As per the report, former Ranji Trophy player Rachit Bhatia revealed he gave information to the bookies in London about the team’s playing XI ahead of the match. Bhatia also accepted that he was involved in spot fixing the matches. 

Furthermore, he also revealed the cost of revealing the playing XI before the game for both IPL and DPL. Rachit further informed that the player involved is 23-year and thus all the information pointed towards Vansh Bedi.

“I would like to clarify certain false and defamatory content circulating on social media and websites concerning me. I categorically state that I am not the individual referred to by Ex-Ranji Trophy cricketer Rachit Bhatia in the Tehelka sting operation concerning alleged match-fixing involving a CSK player, nor do I have any involvement whatsoever in any such activity,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Any attempt to falsely link me with these allegations is highly defamatory. My legal team is taking appropriate civil and criminal action against those responsible. I request everyone to refrain from creating or sharing such false and defamatory content,” he added.

Meanwhile, Vansh Bedi was roped in by CSK for INR 55 lakhs in IPL 2025 mega auction. He didn’t play a single game and was ruled out of the season due to an ankle injury. 

The youngster was part of Central Delhi Kings in DPL 2026. The right-hander scored 206 runs in 10 innings of the season at a blistering strike rate of 206 and played a key role in helping CDK qualify for the finals.
