West Indies will lock horns against India in the second T20I at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. The visitors had drawn first blood in the series as they had won convincingly by 68 runs and the Rohit Sharma-led team will look to continue the good show.
India had ticked the right boxes in the first game as Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik scored fine knocks to help the team post a par score of 190 runs on the board. Rohit had scored a brilliant knock of 64 while Dinesh Karthik had added the finishing touches with a quickfire 19-ball 41.
Furthermore, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh had scalped two wickets each to restrict the Windies at 122-8.
On the other hand, West Indies will need to come up with a better performance with both bat as well as the ball. The hosts haven’t been able to come up with a collective effort to be competitive against a potent Indian team. The Windies had also made a selection mistake as they had played only one spinner in Akeal Hossein when the pitch was providing assistance to the spinners.
Meanwhile, India has been right on the money so far on this tour of West Indies and they have been able to win the crucial stages of the matches.
Match Prediction: India will once again start as favorites against a depleted West Indies but the hosts have the players who can help them bounce back in the series.
