Australia will lock horns against the Netherlands at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi in the 24th match of the ongoing World Cup 2023 on Wednesday. The five-time champions were able to bounce back strongly after losing their first two matches against India and South Africa.
The Pat Cummins-led team registered their maiden win of the tournament against Sri Lanka and then won against Pakistan after posting a huge score of 367 runs on the board.
Australian openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh scored fine centuries against Pakistan and they will aim to continue the good show against the Dutch. Warner scored a magnum opus knock of 163 runs and he is going to hold the key. However, Australia was not able to finish on a high in their batting innings despite having all the momentum and they will aim to do a better job.
But Australia’s bowling took a beating against Pakistan and they will need to turn the tables against the Netherlands.
On the other hand, after stunning South Africa by 38 runs, the Netherlands lost against Sri Lanka in their previous match. The Dutch have suffered some batting collapses during the tournament but they have impressed with the way they have bounced back.
