Australia will lock horns against Sri Lanka at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow in the 14th game of the ongoing World Cup on Monday. Both of these teams have lost their respective two matches and they will aim to get off the mark in Lucknow.

Australia played their last against South Africa at the same venue and they will look to rectify their mistakes as they looked flat. We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

Current form for Australia: L L W L L

Australia will want their senior players to step up against Sri Lanka as they have not played like themselves so far. After losing the opening game against India, Australia was completely outplayed by the Proteas in all three departments of the game in their last game.

Current form for Sri Lanka: L L L W L

Sri Lanka has looked low on confidence especially after they were bowled out for 51 runs in the Asia Cup final by India. While they scored 344 runs in their previous match against Pakistan, their inexperience in bowling was palpable as they could not defend the huge score. Furthermore, their skipper Dasun Shanaka has been ruled out of the ODI showpiece with a thigh injury.

Head to Head: Matches: 103, Won by Australia: 63, Won by Sri Lanka: 36, NR: 4.

Australia clearly holds the advantage against Sri Lanka in the H2H battle.
