As the 2024-25 season’s nears its end, the All India Football Federation announced the awards during the weekend.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant skipper Subhasish Bose has been awarded the prestigious AIFF Men’s Player of the Year. Bose led the Kolkata-based club to double the League Shield and ISL Cup glory.
Vishal Kaith has earned the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award after an exceptional run in the season. Earlier, Kaith bagged the Golden Glove award in the ISL after a record 15 clean sheets and conceding only 19 goals across 26 appearances.
FC Goa attacking midfielder Brison Fernandes has been picked as the Men’s Promising Player of the Year.
Jamshedpur FC head coach Khalid Jamil has won the AIFF’s Men’s Coach of the Year award for the second year in a row. Jamil led the Red Miners to the ISL playoffs and the team also qualified to the Kalinga Super Cup final but suffered a 0-3 loss against FC Goa.
On the other hand, East Bengal FC striker Soumya Guguloth has been named as the AIFF Women’s Player of the Year after an impressive IWL campaign. Soumya ended the season as the highest-scoring Indian player with nine goals and played a key role in her team’s title run.
Goalkeeper Panthoi Chanu, also from East Bengal FC, was awarded the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year after keeping seven clean sheets in 14 matches.
Sujata Kar of Sribhumi FC was named Women’s Coach of the Year after guiding the newly promoted club to an impressive third-place finish behind East Bengal and Gokulam Kerala.
18-year-old defender Toijam Thoibisana Chanu, also from Sribhumi FC, earned the Women’s Promising Player of the Year honour, capping off a memorable debut season at the top level.
