ATK Mohun Bagan has named four captains for the upcoming Indian Super League 2022-23 season. Pritam Kotal, Florentin Pogba, Joni Kauko, and Subhasish Bose have been named to the leadership group of the team.
The Mariners have released players like Roy Krishna, David Williams, and Sandesh Jhingan but they have added quite a few players during the ongoing off-season.
ATK Mohun Bagan added players like Pogba, Brendan Hamill, Dimitri Petratos, Ashique Kuruniyan, Asish Rai, and Lalrinliana Hnamte during the off-season. Moreover, ATK Mohun Bagan has players like Hugo Boumous, Kauko, Carl McHugh, Liston Colaco, and Manvir Singh.
However, instead of naming one player as a leader, the team’s head coach Juan Ferrando has named four players in the leadership group.
Joni Kauko, who is named as one of the captains of the team, is looking forward to the upcoming season.
He said while talking to ATK Mohun Bagan, “It’s gonna be great again, it’s a different feeling when the fans are there, especially in Kolkata.”
Meanwhile, Kauko and Pogba have all the experience under their belt and they will look to get the best out of the team. As seven Indian players will be named in the starting XI of every ISL team, Pritam Kotal, and Subhasish Bose will also play a key role in the team.
