Hyderabad FC are placed right down at the bottom of the ISL table having won just one out of their nine matches so far. Nothing has gone right for them as they have struggled both with scoring and defending.
However, if their performance in the last match was anything to go by, their fortunes can change soon. And that will depend mostly on how Deyvison Rogerio Da Silva, popularly known as Bobo, fares in the forthcoming matches.
It was Bobo’s double strike that helped Hyderabad to gain a crucial point against a strong opponent like ATK. The Kolkata-based franchise has been one of the best teams in the League this season. Their defence has been the second best in terms of goals conceded, yet Bobo managed to go past them and score. Not once but twice. That tells a lot about how good a striker the Brazilian is.
So these numbers sum up what Bobo’s presence means for Hyderabad FC. He had been injured for the initial part of the season but he looks fully fit now. And he has made an impact straightaway with a brace in their last game. It might not have resulted in a win but that draw against ATK might just be the start of good things for Hyderabad this season.
His pairing with another Brazilian, Marcelinho, will be pretty important for Hyderabad. He is the only other player who has scored more than one goal for Hyderabad this season. In fact, it was Marcelinho who had supplied an assist for one of the two goals scored by Bobo against ATK. The combination of Marcelinho’s vision and Bobo’s converting ability can be a lethal weapon for Hyderabad going forward. So, if these two strike the right chords between themselves, Hyderabad can definitely make their way out of the doldrums.
