AC Milan have secured the long-term future of Christian Pulisic after the American international signed a contract extension keeping him at the Italian club until June 30, 2031.
The Rossoneri officially announced the agreement on October 30, confirming reports that the two parties had reached a verbal agreement earlier in the week.
Sky Sport Italia initially reported that Milan and Pulisic had agreed in principle to a new long-term contract, with the deal subsequently finalized and announced by the club.
The 28-year-old forward had been approaching the final months of his previous contract, which was scheduled to expire in June 2027. Milan also held an option to extend that agreement for another season.
However, the club decided to negotiate a longer commitment, ensuring that one of its most important attacking players would remain at San Siro for several more years.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pulisic’s new agreement includes an annual salary of approximately €5 million plus bonuses. The extension represents a significant commitment from Milan as the club continues building its squad for the future.
Pulisic joined Milan from Chelsea in July 2023 after previously establishing himself in European football with Borussia Dortmund and the London club.
His move to Italy provided an opportunity to rediscover his consistency and become a central figure in Milan’s attack.
Since arriving at San Siro, Pulisic has scored 44 goals in 141 appearances, according to the figures published in Milan’s official contract announcement.
The American also finished the 2024-25 campaign as Milan’s leading goalscorer, further establishing his importance to the team.
His performances have been particularly valuable because of his versatility. Pulisic can operate on either wing, move into central attacking positions and contribute through his movement, dribbling and ability to create scoring opportunities.
Milan highlighted his technical ability, character, consistency and work ethic when announcing the extension, emphasizing the importance of retaining him for the club’s long-term plans.
The American international also played an important role in Milan’s victory in the 2024-25 Supercoppa Italiana.
He scored against Juventus in the semifinal before finding the net against Inter Milan in the final, helping the Rossoneri secure the trophy.
Those contributions demonstrated his ability to influence important matches and strengthened his position within the squad.
Pulisic has continued to contribute during the 2026-27 season, recording two goals and one assist in his first six Serie A appearances.
Following the official announcement, Pulisic expressed his satisfaction with the agreement during an interview with Sky Sport Italia.
The American explained that remaining at Milan had always been his preference and emphasized the confidence he had received from the club’s management and coaching staff.
He also expressed excitement about continuing his career with the Rossoneri and contributing to their ambitions over the coming seasons.
The extension represents an important decision for Milan, particularly as the club seeks greater stability under manager Ruben Amorim.
Pulisic’s attacking versatility, experience and productivity make him a valuable part of that project, while his new contract provides certainty about his future.
For the United States international, the agreement also offers an opportunity to continue building his legacy in European football.
Having established himself as one of Milan’s most influential players since arriving from Chelsea, Pulisic will now have the chance to pursue further domestic and European success with the Rossoneri through 2031.
