Cristiano Ronaldo has backed Kylian Mbappe to find success at Real Madrid. Ronaldo praised the football structure of the La Liga giants, stating the top brass doesn’t succumb to pressure. The Portuguese, who has scored more than 900 goals in his glorious career, also backed the Frenchman to win the Ballon d’Or.
“I think [Mbappé] will do well. The structure of the club … it’s nice, it’s good,” Ronaldo said on his YouTube Channel.
“They have a great coach and the president, Florentino [Pérez], who has been there many many years. I think it won’t be a big problem because of his talent. Mbappé can be the next golden ball [Ballon d’Or] winner. Him, [Erling] Haaland, [Jude] Bellingham, Lamine [Yamal].
“Madrid is the kind of team they don’t rush under pressure. People say they’re lucky in the Champions [League]. No they are not lucky. They’re prepared for this kind of moment. The Bernabéu has that different aura.
“Now, if you say that Madrid is going to be better or not, we don’t know. Mbappé is there now, I think Madrid will keep strong, but I don’t know if they will be better than last year. Only God knows.”
Meanwhile, Mbappe scored on his Real Madrid debut in the UEFA Super Cup clash against Atalanta. However, he took some time to hit the ground running in the La Liga and scored a brace against Real Betis before the International break.
Mbappe is regarded as one of the best players in the world and he can bamboozle the opposition with his extra pace. The 25-year-old also had a successful stint with Paris Saint-Germain.
Madrid have two wins and have registered as many draws from their first four games this season.
