Hyderabad FC head coach Manolo Marquez wants his team to continue the winning momentum as they face Odisha FC

Hyderabad FC will take on Odisha FC in their latest Indian Super League encounter as both teams are looking to secure a place in the top four on the points table. Hyderabad FC are currently at the summit and a win for Odisha FC will also help them reach 20 points.

Hyderabad FC recently decimated SC East Bengal 4-0 and Bartholomew Ogbeche scored a fantastic hattrick to help them propel to the top of the points table. Head coach Manolo Marquez is hoping to carry on that winning form from the last game.

“It is always important to win a game. We got to win the last game and are with 20 points,” Marquez began at the post match press conference. “We have to continue with eight games still to play, every game is a battle. At some moments during the first half, East Bengal was better than us, but we had very good players and finally, we could win the game. If you win after these draws, it is fantastic, If you lose then these draws are not a good result.”

The ISL teams are currently going through a rough patch with several teams having COVID-19 positive players and staff. Hence Manolo Marquez feels that it is difficult to make a strategy when teams do not know who all will be available for the next game.

“Now we don’t know all the teams and which players are available till the last moment, if there are positive cases. There are always areas to improve. Sometimes, you have to put players out of position and let’s see what happens because Odisha had to continue with the same problem. We are the team with the most goals and the second team with the least conceded goals. But, of course, we have areas to improve because a perfect team does not exist,” the Spaniard explained.

Aniket Jadhav has been a star for Hyderabad FC this season. The young winger scored for the Nizams in the last game against SC East Bengal and has impressed everyone with his tenacity and quality on the ball.

Speaking about Aniket, Marquez said, ” Aniket Jadhav has a lot of qualities, but he is young. He has and can improve in a lot of areas, especially in decision-making. He is a player, with his qualities, can be an important player in Indian football because he can score, dribble, pass, dribble and at this moment he is an important player in our team.”

It will be interesting to see whether Hyderabad FC maintains their winning form or Odisha FC climbs to the top four spots with a win.
