Mohammedan SC head coach Andrey Chernyshov feels Hyderabad FC players were faster, fresher and worked harder after their 4-0 loss at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata in the Indian Super League on Saturday.
Allan Paulista scored a brace and Sapic also found the back of the net to put Hyderabad FC by 3-0 in the first 15 minutes. Shrivas then scored after six minutes into the second half to put the game to rest.
Hyderabad FC took six shots on target despite having 40% possession.
Chernyshov admitted that the team did not perform as expected, in the post-match press conference saying “We played today not like we planned before the match and if you start to look again (at) this match..the (players) look like they are a little bit tired”
He also acknowledged that Nizams’ players were better form than them, “The players from the Hyderabad FC were fresher, they ran better, were faster and worked faster with the balls. Our performance was not as good as we expected before the match.”
Chernyshov feels early mistakes led to their downfall. “After 15 minutes, we were down 0-3 because of our mistakes.”
The home team dominated the possession with 60% and also took four shots on target but failed to capitalize on their chances.
“After the first half, we wanted to come back, we spoke well in the dressing room, we changed some players, we brought more players in attack but again they scored. We also had so many chances today but we could not score,” he said
Mohammedan SC will next take on derby rivals East Bengal FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata on November 9th.
