India’s football head coach has named a 41-player squad for the national camp ahead of the all-important Hero Intercontinental Cup. The camp will be set up in Bhubaneshwar from May 15 for the tournament, which will run from June 9 to June 18.
The national team will prepare for the upcoming tournament before the Croatian will decide on the final squad. Subsequently, the team will move to Bengaluru to take part in the SAFF Championship, in June-July.
The Blue Tigers are currently placed in 101st place in the FIFA rankings and they will be looking to come up with the goods. They will take on teams like Lebanon (99), Vanuatu (164), and Mongolia (183) in the forthcoming competition.
Recently, India defeated Myanmar by 1-0 and Kyrgyz Republic by 2-0 to win the Hero Tri-nation tournament and they will be looking to carry the good show.
