Hyderabad FC head coach Manuel Marquez has stated that Jamshedpur FC is a good team but feels it will be tough for them too in the upcoming 63rd match of the ongoing Hero Indian Super League 2021-22, which will be played at the Athletic Stadium, Bambolim on Monday.
Hyderabad is currently in third place in the standings with 17 points under their bag after four wins from 11 matches. On the other hand, Jamshedpur FC is currently in second place with 19 points as they have won five matches.
Hyderabad FC has won a solitary match out of their last five games and they will need to come up with a collective effort. They drew their last game against SC East Bengal and Manuel Marquez was not at all impressed with his team’s performance.
Manuel Marquez said in the pre-match press conference, ”They (Jamshedpur FC) are a very tough and physical team. They are like a typical English team. They have the best player in the league, Greg Stewart. They have good character and are dangerous from set-pieces. Moreover, they have a coach who knows the league and is one of the top coaches here. But like always it will be tough for them too”.
Marquez added that his team will need to keep Greg Stewart at bay but admitted it will be nigh impossible to keep the opposition in check from the set-pieces.
Hyderabad FC gaffer added, “We can’t, it’s impossible. It’s all about the deliveries. We have to pray he (Greg Stewart) doesn’t put very good crosses. He played for Glasgow Rangers which is the best team in Scotland. So he is very good in these situations. He can do everything and also has experience”.
Meanwhile, Bartholomew Ogbeche, who is one of the most consistent players in the league, will also return back to the Hyderabad FC team. The Spaniard is hopeful that he would be able to play both Ogbeche and Javier Siverio.
Marquez concluded, “Ogbeche is the top scorer in the league. Maybe we can play both the players (Ogbeche and Javier Siverio) together. In terms of minutes per goal Javier has the best record in the league. But let’s see we are looking for it. But let’s see”.
