Jamshedpur FC winger Ritwik Das has heaped praise on Owen Coyle for getting the best out of his players. Das stated that Coyle gives confidence to each and every player in the team, which enhances their performances on the pitch. Jamshedpur FC bagged their maiden Hero Indian Super League Winners’ Shield after beating ATK Mohun Bagan by 1-0 on Monday.
Jamshedpur FC finished the league stage at the top with 43 points after 13 wins from 20 matches. Thus, Coyle played a key role in getting the best out of his players. Ritwik Das has also grown in confidence as he is doing a fine job for Jamshedpur FC. Das had also scored the match-winning goal against ATK Mohun Bagan, which took Jamshedpur FC to Winners Shield title on Monday.
Das in an interview with the official website of Hero ISL revealed that he was delighted after scoring the crucial goal for his club.
Ritwik Das said, “It feels great. It has been a dream for me since the beginning of the season to win this. It is amazing and it feels great to score in such an important match and against such a great team in ATK Mohun Bagan, they have great players. It is a great feeling for me.”
Speaking on his rich form, Das gave credit to his coach Owen Coyle. He said, “He (Owen Coyle) is a very demanding coach. He demands a lot from each and every player. He gives confidence for each and every player to be at their best level and it only pushes us to strive for more, be in a good shape, and give a good performance.”
Das was on cloud nine after the team won the League Winners Shield after topping the points table. Now Jamshedpur will focus to go all the way in the tournament.
Das added, “It is the first time Jamshedpur FC qualified for the ISL Semi-Finals. It was also the first time we were fighting for the League Shield and we won it. It means a lot to me and each and every player.”
The first leg of the semifinal between Jamshedpur FC and Kerala Blasters will be played at PJN Stadium, Fatorda on Friday.
