ISL 2022-23: Hyderabad FC vs Chennaiyin FC – Match Preview

Hyderabad FC will lock horns against Chennaiyin FC at the G.M.C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium, Hyderabad on Thursday. The Nizams are in a dominating position and they will look to continue the good show against the Marina Machans.

The reigning champions have won 10 matches out of the 13 they have played with two losses and one draw. Thus, they are in second position with a total of 31 points under their belt.

On the other hand, Chennaiyin FC has won only four matches out of the 12 they have played. They have drawn three and lost five games and thus have a total of 15 points in their kitty. The Marina Machans are currently in seventh place and they will need to turn the tables in the upcoming matches.

Hyderabad FC had won their previous match against FC Goa by 3-1 after Bartholomew Ogbeche scored a hat-trick. However, despite the win, the team’s gaffer Manolo Marquez was not happy with the team’s performance.

Meanwhile, Chennaiyin FC had shared the spoils in their previous match against Jamshedpur FC as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Match Prediction: Hyderabad FC will enter the contest as favorites against Chennaiyin FC given their current form and team’s balance.
