Jamshedpur FC forward Ishan Pandita has extended his stay with the club ahead of the upcoming ninth season of the Hero Indian Super League. The youngster will stay at the Furnace for another season and will once again look to give his best.
Pandita, who is also an India International now, wrote on his Instagram post, “Jamshedpur I’m here! One more year with the League Champions! Let’s create more history together! Jam Ke Khelo!”
Meanwhile, the youngster played a key role in taking Jamshedpur FC to the League Shield triumph. Pandita played 15 matches under the team’s former coach Owen Coyle and mostly came on as a substitute.
The 24-year-old youngster scored three goals for Jamshedpur FC and impressed with his game. Pandita will play alongside Daniel Chima Chikwu, who also extended his stay at the club and will also join Harry Sawyer, who was recently roped in by the team.
In fact, Ishan Pandita had proved his mettle as a super-sub while playing for FC Goa under the tutelage of former coach Juan Ferrando.
Pandita has this ability to score at the fag end of the matches as more than 95% of his goals have come after the 75th minute of the game.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur FC’s first team has begun their preparation for the forthcoming Hero ISL at the JRD Tata Complex in Jamshedpur under the watchful eyes of new head coach Aidy Boothroyd.
On the other hand, Jamshedpur FC suffered a 3-0 loss against runners-up Mohammedan SC in the ongoing Durand Cup on Sunday.
