The previous season’s runners-up Kerala Blasters FC announced their 28-man squad for the forthcoming season of the Hero Indian Super League. The Tuskers will play Kolkata-based East Bengal FC in their 2022-23 season opener at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi on Friday, October 7.
Kerala Blasters FC had recently roped in Greek striker Dimitrios Diamantakos and he will certainly add value to the forward line. Furthermore, they have signed players like Bryce Miranda and Victor Mongil.
The Southerners had a great run in the last edition and Ivan Vukomanovic will once again look to get the best out of his players in the upcoming season.
Kerala Blasters had finished fourth in the points table in the previous season. They went on beat League Shield winners Jamshedpur FC in the semifinals to set up a final clash against Hyderabad FC but they lost on penalties in the all-important game.
Players like Ruivah Hormipam, Marko Leskovic, Harmanjot Singh Khabra, Jessel Carneiro, Victor Mongil, and Bijoy Varghese will take care of the defensive line while the midfield will consist of players like Jeakson Singh, Adrian Luna, Ivan Kalyuzhnyi and Sahal Abdul Samad.
Dimitrios Diamnatakos will lead the attacking line and he will receive support from players like Bidyshagar Singh, Apostolos Giannou, Rahul KP, and Sreekuttan MS.
