Jamshedpur FC have acquired the services of striker Steve Ambri in the ongoing Indian Super League to bolster their attack, the club announced on Monday. Ambri will definitely add pace to the Red Miners’ attacking line in the ongoing tournament.
Jamshedpur FC have played three matches so far out of which they have won one, drawn one, and lost one. Thus, Ambri will aim to add value to the team’s squad.
Jamshedpur FC interim head coach, Scott Cooper, expressed his excitement regarding Ambri’s signing, stating, “At just 26 years old, Steve Ambri is an exciting player with big experience in the French league which is a strong league and in Moldova with Sheriff Tiraspol. Being an international player, he comes with a great attitude, speed, physicality, and goal-scoring skills and fits our style of play which will be a great asset for the club in a time of need. We have seen him during the early stages already and he will fit right straight away.”
Ambri has the experience of playing for Nîmes Olympique in France in Ligue 2. Furthermore, he also played for Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova. He was able to impress while playing Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Europa League in the 2022-23 season.

Playing under the guidance of Scott is exciting, as our playing styles are harmonious. I am eager to contribute by scoring goals for both, the club and the passionate fans. I have heard about the rich cultural heritage of Jamshedpur and the fervent support at The Furnace. I look forward to embarking on this new chapter with the Men of Steel.”
Ambri has also represented Guinea-Bissau at the International level. Meanwhile, earlier Jamshedpur FC had parted ways with Petar Sliskovic, who was ruled out of the ongoing season due to an injury.
