The 11th edition of the Indian Super League came to a close with Mohun Bagan Super Giant winning the title. The Mariners defeated Bengaluru by 2-1 in the summit clash at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, Kolkata on Saturday.
After a goalless first, Alberto Noguera scored an own goal in the 49th minute to put the Blues in front. However, Jason Cummings equalized for the home team in the 72nd minute. Subsequently, Jamie Maclaren scored the match-winning goal in the 96th title to help his team clinch the ISL crown.
Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan Super Giant goalkeeper Vishal Kaith won the Golden Glove Award whereas Moroccan and NorthEast United FC striker Alaaeddine Ajaraie won the Golden Boot as well as the Golden Ball award.
In 25 matches of ISL 2024-25, Ajaraie scored 23 goals and provided seven assists, and played a key role in taking NorthEast United to the playoffs.
Vishal Kaith made a total of 75 saves and registered a total of 15 clean sheets.
Jamshedpur FC bagged the best grassroot program and Punjab FC won the best elite youth program award.
FC Goa’s Brison Fernandes won the Emerging Player award in the season.
