Chennaiyin FC has signed the services of Shield winner Kiyan Nassiri from Mohun Bagan Super Giant ahead of the next Indian Super League. This is the sixth signing for the Marina Machans in the off-season.
The 23-year-old has put pen to paper for a three-year deal, which will keep him at the club till 2027. Nassiri played 68 matches for the Mariners, playing an instrumental role in the ISL trophy win in 2023 and the ISL League Shield win in 2024.
“We are excited to welcome Kiyan Nassiri to this great club. When you score a hattrick on your debut against your biggest rivals, it says everything there is to be said. He’s a great boy and we have no doubt he will quickly become a fan favourite,” manager Owen Coyle said about the signing.

Meanwhile, Chennaiyin FC have named former Indian midfielder Noel Wilson as their assistant coach for the upcoming season. Wilson has previously worked with head coach Owen Coyle for Jamshedpur FC.
“We are delighted to welcome Noel Wilson to Chennaiyin’s coaching staff. With his deep knowledge of the game and wealth of experience, he is a great addition to our team. We are confident that he will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goals at the club,” commented Ekansh Gupta, Vice President of Chennaiyin FC.
