Indian Super League champions Mumbai City FC has signed the services of defender Sahil Panwar on a one-year deal, which will keep him at the club till the end of the 2024-25 season. Sahil becomes the first defensive signing of the club ahead of the new edition of the tournament.
Panwar began his professional career with the Pune FC academy. Subsequently, after impressive performances at Under-19 level, he joined FC Pune City and made his debut in the ISL in January 2018. The 24-year-old has played for clubs like Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC.
In 70 matches he has played in the ISL, Panwar has recorded 88 interceptions, 230 duels won, 83 aerial duels won, and 270 recoveries.
Panwar shared his delight after signing a contract with the Islanders.
