The fifth season of the Kalinga Super Cup is all set to kick off on April 20, 2025, in Bhubaneswar, with the final to be played on May 3. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has revealed that the tournament will return to a straight knockout format, which was used in the first two editions.
A total of 16 teams will participate in the Kalinga Super Cup, 13 from Indian Super League and three teams from the I-league. The champions of the Super Cup will qualify for the 2025–26 AFC Champions League 2 (ACL2) Playoffs.
The tournament will begin with a doubleheader on April 20, with Kerala Blasters taking on East Bengal FC whereas Mohun Bagan Super Giant will face Churchill Brothers.
All matches will be played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
