Kerala Blasters FC have strengthened their attacking options by signing English winger Andre Green ahead of the 2026-27 Indian Super League season.
The club announced the arrival of the 27-year-old on Tuesday, adding an experienced wide player who has spent much of his career in English football. Green will remain with Kerala Blasters until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
The winger brings experience from several English clubs, having represented Aston Villa, Portsmouth, Preston North End, Sheffield United and Rotherham United during his career.
Green developed through Aston Villa’s academy before making his senior debut in 2015. He later made more than 50 appearances for Villa across competitions and also featured twice in the Premier League during his breakthrough season.
His early performances also earned him opportunities at international youth level. Green represented England across three age groups, playing for the country’s Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 teams.
Capable of operating on either wing, Green gives Kerala Blasters additional flexibility in attack. His pace and close control allow him to take on defenders in one-on-one situations, while his movement away from the ball can help open spaces for teammates.
The Englishman has also played outside his home country during his career, giving him experience of adapting to different footballing environments.
His arrival provides Kerala Blasters with another attacking option as the club prepares for the new ISL season. Green’s experience across multiple clubs, combined with his ability to play on both flanks, could give the team greater variety in wide areas.
The move will also mark a new chapter in the winger’s career as he prepares to compete in Indian football.
Green will now link up with Kerala Blasters ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, with his contract running through to the conclusion of the season.
