Kerala Blasters FC have confirmed that they will continue to host their home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for the upcoming Indian Super League season, which begins on February 14. The announcement was made by the club on Monday, bringing clarity after earlier uncertainty around their home venue.
When a tentative schedule for the season was released last year, the EMS Corporation Stadium had been listed as a temporary home ground for the Blasters. That proposal sparked discussion among supporters, as Kochi has long been considered the heart of the club’s identity. The latest decision confirms that the team will remain in familiar surroundings for the new campaign.
In a statement, the club highlighted the strong bond it shares with its fanbase and the unique atmosphere created on matchdays in Kochi. “The club remains deeply connected to its passionate supporters who transform the stadium into one of the most vibrant football venues in the country. The decision reaffirms Kerala Blasters FC’s commitment to its fans, partners, and the wider football community across the state,” the statement read.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium has served as Kerala Blasters’ home since the inception of the ISL in 2014. Over the years, the venue has become one of the most recognizable stadiums in Indian football, known for its large crowds and intense support. For players and staff, the familiar setting is expected to provide continuity as the team prepares for another demanding season.
Supporters are also likely to welcome the news, as Kochi’s central role in the club’s journey has helped build a strong matchday culture. The decision ensures that fans will once again be able to gather in large numbers at the same ground where many of the club’s most memorable moments have taken place.
Kerala Blasters will play their first home match of the season on February 28 against Inter Kashi. With the venue now confirmed, attention will turn fully to preparations on the pitch, as the Blasters look to make a strong start in front of their home supporters when the ISL season gets underway.
