Man United ‘disappointed’ with draw at Forest, says Amad Diallo

Manchester United striker Amad Diallo said the team was disappointed after a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday. Diallo scored a late equaliser for the Red Devils to help his team share the spoils.

Meanwhile, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro opened the scoring for the visitors in the 34th minute. However, after the half-time break, Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona scored in quick succession for Nottingham Forest to put them in front.

United had won their last three matches in the Premier League but could not keep up the winning impetus.

“Honestly we are really disappointed to go home with one point,” Amad Diallo said.

“We were in a good moment, winning three games in a row. We wanted to do the fourth, but we can learn from this and then try to do the best next time.”

The Ivory Coast international said winning games gives players a lot of confidence.

“I think winning games always gives players confidence,” Diallo said of their resilience. “Now I think everyone is in good moments.

“As a team, we are learning every day with the manager, with Ruben, because we believe in his system.

“But I think today we are really disappointed because as a team we demand a lot.”

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim has completed one year at the Old Trafford-based club and Diallo said the club has grown under the Portuguese manager.

“Yeah, of course. It wasn’t easy at the beginning for him and for us.

“But the beginning was a start. Now we are trying to understand the system, and we are trying to do the best every game.

“We want to win every game because we want to bring this club to the level where they deserve to be.”

Manchester United will next take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
